Exciter is Depeche Mode's tenth full album, which was released on May 14, 2001 in the UK and May 15 in the US. It uses more digital music technology compared to to some previous albums likely due to the fact that it was produced by Mark Bell, who produced albums for Björk (Homogenic, Selmasongs and Medulla) and LFO (Frequencies, Advance and Sheath)
