Some Great Reward is the band's fourth studio album, released in 1984. The album saw the band's music becoming increasingly dark - likely not a surprise after the darker aspersions on
Construction Time Again. However, it did feature the band's top single -
People are People.
"Master And Servant" was the band's last Top 10 single in the UK until the release of "Enjoy The Silence" In 1990.

Important 'notes': - The title of the album comes from the lyrics of the song "Lie to Me": "Make me think that at the end of the day, some great reward will be coming my way."
- Also, contrary to popular belief - that is not Alan Wilder on the cover.
- All songs written by Martin L. Gore except for "If You Want", which was written by Alan Wilder.
