Songs of Faith and Devotion is the eighth studio record by the band, first released in March 1993. The album was their first "rock sound" experiment and upon release reached #1 in both the UK and US album charts. This was the last album to include Alan Wilder.

Important Notes:

• This was the band's first (and last) foray into a completely rockier sound.
• This is the only studio album with the band on the cover.
• Hidden at the end of "Get Right with Me" is "Interlude 4", an excerpt from a Brian Eno remix of "I Feel You". It is often used to introduce the song when played live.
