How Did You Become A Fan?
Jan 6 2008, 12:34 PM EST It was junior high and I was full of the usual angst - girls, school, wanting to devote all my time to my Nintendo - the usual. I was always looking for cool music and a friend gave me Black Celebration. In those days my weekends were full of constant chores and I used to listen to music to get through it, and Black Celebration really captured my imagination and soul. Then, almost immediately, the DMOCD kicked in and I've been a DM devotee ever since. I've seen all their concerts since, bought ridiculous amounts of merchanddise, built a room for the stuff, and driven all my loved ones & friends crazy with DM trivia. My devotion is irrational and I can't explain it - just RAW attraction. Well, there's my story lol. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: How Did You Become A Fan?
Jan 6 2008, 1:02 PM EST I was on holidays with my mum in Austria back in 2005 and we were out shopping one day (August 27, to be exact). We went into a record store where I told the assistant that I loved 80s music (especially electronic music). He then handed me a copy of 'The Singles 81>85' and I said I'd give it a try. As soon as I started listening to it, I fell madly in love with what I heard and I did not listen to anything else for the rest of the holidays - and that was only Day 3 of a 2-week holiday. ;-) 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Jan 6 2008, 6:03 PM EST I was introduced to DM by my boyfriend on a road rip. He played Catching up with DM and I have been a huge fan ever since. Do you find this valuable? |

Jan 7 2008, 10:30 PM EST I saw a live video of People are People and was hooked from that moment. Shout, by Tears for Fears, was my other fave of the time. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Jun 17 2008, 3:26 AM EDT When my mom had brought home a DVD which was the Devotional Tour live! I thought it was amazing and asked my mommy if she could buy me some more CDs and DVDs! Of course she was really happy to hear that her daughter liked her favorite band and it didn't take long for DM to become my favorite band!.... 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
